Refund, Transfer & Deferral Policy — CBA Membership (Includes China Immersion Program)

This policy applies to China Business Alliance (CBA) Membership (“Membership”), which includes access to member benefits and a confirmed seat on the China Immersion Program/trip (“Immersion Program”), organised by China Business Alliance (a brand under Singapore One Belt One Road Cultural Agency, UEN: 53140263X).

1) Membership Activation & Payments

  • The Membership Fee is SGD 4,999 per member (unless stated otherwise in writing).
  • 30% deposit is required to confirm your seat.
  • Membership benefits start immediately on the deposit payment date (e.g., member onboarding, briefings, network access, and program coordination).
  • The remaining 70% balance is payable 14 days before departure.

2) Refund Principles (Membership + Immersion Seat)

Because membership benefits begin upon deposit payment and planning/reservations commence immediately:

  • The 30% deposit is non-refundable.
  • Any refund (if applicable) is calculated on the amount paid excluding the deposit, and may be reduced by non-recoverable third-party costs already committed for the Immersion Program.

3) Cancellation by Member (Refund Schedule)

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@chinabusinessalliance.com. The cancellation date is when we receive your email.

Refunds for amounts paid excluding the 30% deposit:

  • More than 30 days before departure: 100% refund
  • 15–30 days before departure: 50% refund
  • 0–14 days before departure (or no-show): No refund

4) Transfer Options

  1. A) Transfer the Immersion Program seat (recommended; Membership remains personal and non-transferable)
  • Allowed up to 7 days before departure
  • Subject to approval and eligibility requirements (e.g., passport/visa readiness; venue access rules)
  • Admin fee: SGD 150
  1. B) Transfer the entire Membership to a replacement person (optional, subject to approval)
  • Allowed up to 14 days before departure
  • Subject to approval and onboarding checks
  • Admin fee: SGD 300

5) Deferral to a Future Departure

If you cannot attend this departure, you may request to defer your Immersion Program seat:

  • Request must be made more than 14 days before departure
  • Subject to seat availability
  • Deferral fee: SGD 300
  • If the future departure has different pricing/inclusions, the member may need to top up the difference.

6) Itinerary / Visit Changes

Company visits and sessions are subject to confirmation, availability, and venue access approval. We may substitute visits/speakers with comparable alternatives. Such changes do not qualify for refunds.

7) Cancellation by Organiser

If we cancel the Immersion Program departure, we will offer either:

  • credit/deferral to a future departure, or
  • partial refund for the Immersion Program component, after deducting any membership services already delivered and any non-recoverable third-party costs,
    as communicated in writing.

8) Flights, Visas & Insurance

International flights are self-booked and are not covered by this policy. Members are responsible for visas (if required). Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

9) Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14–30 business days to the original payment method.
